Meniscus Tear
Definition
Meniscus is a half moon shaped cartilage between the thigh and sheen bone. It is located on each interior and exterior of the knees and protects the knee joints, ease the shock, helping the knee to function. This disease occurs when this cartilage is damaged by exterior injury, etc.

Cause
-Exterior shocks
-Extreme sport shocks
-Degeneration

Symptom
- Painful when pressed, feels hurt when walking
- Severe pain when walking on stairs or squatting or standing up
- Cannot sit crossed-legged due to severe pain
- Water pumped in the knee, severely swalloon or the knees fold, lack of energy.
- Painful with noise when moving knee

Cruciate Ligament Rupture
Definition
Cruciate Ligaments are inside the knee joints, composed of 2 anterior, posterior ligaments. It plays a very important role on the stability of joints. It’s big role is to prevent the shinbone moving back and forth against femur. When the ligament ruptures, it is the cause of knee instability.

1. Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture
It is the ligament that is usually damaged inside the knee joint. It ruptures when the ligament twists by landing after jumping, hyperextension, etc.

Symptoms
- At an acute phase, you could feel noise in the knee, severe pain and the occurrence of an edma.
- There is a serious pain at the early phase, but it decreases after a week.
- Continuose instability, impotent knee joint, repetitious knee edma
- When not treatd it could damage other things (cartilaginous or the plate) and it could move on to a traumatic arthritis.

Treatments
- Non-Surgical:
When ruptured regionally wear a cruciate ligament subsidiary.
Strengthening exercise of quadriceps of thigh and knee is necessary.

- Surgical : Reconstruction of Cruciate Ligament

2. Posterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture
If a person is hit by a moving vehicle while standing, or tripping and fall hitting the shin on the ground, the legs are pushed back and the instability of knee occurs.

Symptoms
- Momentarily feels that the knee is dislocated, pain and edma occurs.
- Popliteus pain, doesn’t feel better after sometime. Feels tightened.
- Pain when walking, can observe with bare eyes that the shin is drooping
- When not treatd it could damage other things (cartilaginous or the plate) and it could move on to a traumatic arthritis.

Treatments
- Non-Surgical:

Apex of Patella Cartilage Damage
Definitions
It is at the end of bone, whitely surrounded. It absorbs the shock from the joints and protects the knee like an impact absorbent.

Cause
If cartilage is too often used, or in case of an exterior shock or a natural aging, it can get weakend or ruptured.

Symptoms
No feel of pain at first but as the cartilage wears out there will be a direct friction of bones and the pain can be felt.

Treatments
- Non-Surgical:
Cartilage protectant and injection treatment. DNA tissue reproduction injection treatement, physical therapy
(extracorporeal shock wave)No feel of pain at first but as the cartilage wears out there will be a direct friction
of bones and the pain can be felt.
- Surgical:
Arthroscopic surgery cartilage reproduction surgery(microfracture), Self bone marrow stem cell treatment,
cord blood bone marrow stem cell treatment, Osteochondral autograft transplantation, Total joint replacement

Rheumatoid Arthritis
Definitions
This is an inflammatory chronic disease characterized by hamarthritis. At early phase the synovium that wraps the joints get infected and it spreads out to the cartilage and bones, which results in the damage and deformation of the joints

Cause
This is an unknown autoimmune disease that with synovitis that violates from both ends to destroy arthroscope, together they are chronic diseases that sometimes invade many organs.

Treatments
It depends on controlling the infection to ease the pain and preventing or pausing the joint

Treatments
- Non-Surgical:
Medication (non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug, Steroid antirheumaticum medication, TNF blocking agent)
- Surgical : Artificial Joint replacement (When the pain is increased from a heavier arthritis)
