Operative Discectomy Under Microsope
Operative Discectomy Under Microsope
Using ten fingers with multiple tools 사진 Definition
By directly looking at the projected disk compressing the nerve, surgeon will make an incision 2-3cm to precisely remove the disk.

Relvant Patients
Spinal Canal Stenosis, Severely Degenerated Disc, Lumbar Disc Herniation with a Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

Advantages
- Since the doctor directly sees the projected disk through a microscope, there is
less cutting of the skin and an accurate incision
- The operation involves minimal bleeding, and has low risk of blood transfusion
    taking place
- The operation takes roughly 30 minutes, plus 7 days of hospitalization, allowing quick
   return to everyday routine.

Vertebral Body Fusion Surgery
Definition
An operation that connects the two unstablized bones into one, giving it stability

Relevant Patients
Spinal Canal Stenosis, Spondylolysis, Spondylolisthesis, Degenerated Osteoarthritis of the Spine, Severe Disc Prolapse

Advantages
- Spinal joints are agglutinated to lower the likelihood of recurrence
- Unstable spine is fixed to provide stability
- Restoration of disc height

Vertebroplasty & Balloon Angioplasty - Percutaneous Vertebroplasty
Definition
When the spine is broken or collapsed by utilizing C-arm to check the relevant area in order to erect the spine to make it function. With regional anesthesia and by looking at the area in pain, real time, insert a long niddle into the fractured spine to inject medicinal bone cement (reinforcing agent) to higher up the vertebral body and decrease the pain.

Vertebroplasty & Balloon Angioplasty - Percutaneous Balloonplasty
Definition
When the spine is broken or collapsed by utilizing a C-arm to check the relevant area in order to erect the spine to make it function. With regional anesthesia and by looking at the area in pain, real time, insert a balloon to restore the pressured vertebral body and then inject medicinal bone cement (reinforcing agent) with a niddle. This is safer than the usual Vertebroplasty.

Relevant Patients
- Compression fracture patients with no improvement from conservative treatments
- No pain release by physical therapy or conservative treatment

Advantages
- Almost no scar left with a no incision, least invasive operation
- Possible to treat pateints of diabetes or high blood pressure since the surgery gives regional anesthesia
- Rapid recovery, rapid return to daily life after a short procedure

Caution during operation
If the patient moves while operation, the niddle could damage the spinal cord and blood veins around the spine. No sudden move while surgery, and a plastic subsidiary must be worn for about 3 months.
